A board level executive as well as an international entrepreneur and experienced in a wide array of functions: Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Product development, R&D and Strategy. I have worked in many different Industrial sectors: Building Chemistry, Filtration, Chemicals, Electronics, Pharma, Food, Flavour & Fragrance and Consumer markets, working most recently for global blue chip companies.
Although Dutch in origin, I consider myself a world citizen and have been fortunate enough to live in many different parts of this world (China, Singapore, USA, Germany and the UK).
My leadership style puts People First, in which I focus on - Setting Clear Goals - Honest Communication - Accountability (through empowerment) - Recognition of those that generate results
I am passionate about building businesses, however equally enjoy putting a company back on track to success (turnaround): - Evonik MET is an OSN-Membrane company and was grown in 5 years from a university spinout into a three (3) digit Mio€ global company. - Evonik Active Oxygens, had nosed dived to negative profitability, and was turned around in the middle of the last crisis (2008/2009) to a positive two(2) digit Mio€ profitability.
